A white rocking chair was delivered to me about a month ago to paint and then put up for auction to help the McKewen Family. Their story is here: Stem-the-Tide. There will be 30 painted chairs on display in Talbot County from July 1-Aug 31 with an auction event at The Masthead in Oxford, Md. sometime in September. If you want to sponsor a chair or more information about the event, email me or comment below.
I used chalk paint-this time a brand by Cece Caldwell, color Maine Harbor Blue and Johnston Daffodil for the yellow. It became a Goodnight Moon chair.
This took awhile to finish with distractions of gardening, trying to keep Martha from eating new grass, weeds, autumn olives and all the delicious buds of Spring that make her puke all night, and cutting my finger requiring 6 stitches while washing a large glass jar. Thank you Mary Cottingham at Barn Bug Studio for another one of your amazing photos of the Eastern Shore.
